Stefdies is a photographic performance art series that chronicles a life. Each photo is an “anti-selfie” that uses humor and connection to incite the imagination of the viewer. Nothing is premeditated or prepared and everything takes place in natural settings. Stefdies reminds us we will one day die. Seeing the figure in the photograph wakes not just the image, but us. We are given the opportunity to ‘die before we die’. Stefdies is a constant reminder of how precious life is.
