Our everyday items are proliferating and irreparable. The images representing them are conventional. The Junk Show seeks to go beyond them and offer ran- dom associations of commonplace objects that, when combined with each other, underscore their originality and uniqueness. The precariousness of these installations exacerbates the fragility of a period. Ordinary things become the extraordinary subject of a photograph staging them with a planned, sometimes absurd spontaneity.
