SILENT GIANT / LATTITUDE 0 TO 3 PROJECT
Silent Giant (2018) are two collages part of the Latitude 0 to 3 project, a study about the landscape that highlights how the identity of the landscape is the result of the synthesis of both natural and cultural components. The collages reflect on the concept of identity of the landscape starting from the relationship between nature and its perception. They show the mountain landscape of the Alps together with two historical faces of the cinema: Lillian Gish (in The Birth of a Nation by D. W. Griffith, 1915) and Catherine Deneuve (in Belle de jour by Luis Buñuel, 1967).
