Born from the desire of the Rencontres’ founders and receiving influential regional support, the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles was, in 1982, one of the major projects of French president François Mitterand, the 30 years after its creation, A French School, devised around its former students who have become photographers and/or experts, shows the diversity of those who trained at the ENSP.
