Manifestations
This photo series explores formative cultural experiences from my childhood in Nigeria; encounters with the Egungun masquerade, the collective force of the ancestors that facilitates communication between the living and the dead. The series is a response to my journey into recollection and the exploration of my diasporic identity and cultural heritage.

Àsìkò is a UK based Nigerian conceptual artist who explores his ideas within the medium of photography, mixed media and film. His work is constructed in the narrative that straddles between fantasy and reality as a response to his experiences of identity, culture and heritage.
