Plastic Crowns
Plastic Crowns stems from the idea of taking a perceived “prestigious” ornament as a royal or beauty pageant crown and turning it into an object that anyone can purchase and enthrone themselves to be royalty for a day.

Phumzile Khanyile is a South-African artist and a Market Photo Workshop graduate.
Since her debut exhibition at the Market Photo Workshop in 2017, Khanyile’s has been extensively featured in the press and she has also been part of several exhibitions. Phumzile Khanyile has also founded a project space with fellow artist Nkosinathi Khumalo called Zulu Republik.
