Light is, by definition, at the heart of all photography.  On this course we explore its various facets and learn to master the different principles involved and apply them in our personal work.
Participants work with various kinds of equipment, using natural light or artificial light to make a faithful representation of the world in front of them, or to create a new world using accessories or adding new light sources.
The aim is to get beyond technical constraints and move towards a stage where each participant can harness them to their own sensibility and use the faintest glimmer of light as an important element in the composition of an image.
In outdoor or indoor shots, portraits, urban landscapes, or staged scenes, the course also provides an opportunity to tackle things like shadow, sharpness, contrast, overexposure, and sensitivity.
