After discussing everyone’s experiences and practice, Pierre de Vallombreuse and the participants will walk out into the field, following precise itineraries mixing periods, ambiances, highly urbanized spaces and wilder ones, all of them conducive to encounters or contemplation.

During the first two days, Arles will be the ideal playground to build a vision by working on a small personal series that will question the city, its spaces and its people, but also more broadly the participants’ photography. The city’s many heritage, cultural and architectural sites, the river and the contrasts between modernity and spaces frozen for decades will be avenues to explore and starting points for telling a story.

Shoots will be followed by precious editing time, making choices and finding a common thread. On day three, everyone will focus more precisely on the previously chosen avenues and on structuring relationships between the photographs during the selection process. After some additional shots, the last day will focus on a final selection that will be printed for a small, friendly presentation
