Ms. Caruana, winner of the 2014 BMW Residency at the Musée Nicéphore Niépce, is trying to find out the truth about love at first sight. Married just a few days before her Residency started, she draws from her own life, popular myths and research by neuroscientists, biologists and anthropologists. Through photography, she tries to get to the bottom of a phenomenon nobody has ever been able to explain.
