Florian Ebner
Born 1970, Regensburg, Germany. Lives and works in Essen, Germany.
Florian Ebner studied photography at the Ecole Nationale de la Photograhie d’Arles and art history at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. He has headed the Photographic Collection at the Museum Folkwang, Essen, since late 2012. From 2009 to 2012, he was director of the Museum für Photographie Braunschweig, and in 2008-2009 he managed the Photographic Collection at the Berlinische Galerie. Prior to that, he taught photography at the Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig. In 2015, he curated the German Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale.
