Carole Sandrin

Born 1974 in Chevreuse, France.
Lives and works in Lille, France.

Since 2021, Carole Sandrin is responsible for the photographic archives of the Institut pour la Photographie, Hauts-de-France. She managed  the collections of the Société Française de Photographie from 2005 to 2011, obtained a master’s degree in preventive conservation from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2010, then became curator in charge of the Charles Chaplin collection and the Conservation-Restoration department at Photo Elysée, Lausanne from 2011 to 2020. Writing articles on topics such as scientific photography, she has curated several exhibitions, among which L’Utopie Photographique (2004), Chaplin et la Guerre (2014), Agnès Varda: Expo54 and Bettina Rheims: Rose, c’est Paris (2021).
