BIG FENCE/ PITCAIRN ISLAND
Big Fence is an exploration of the isolated community of Pitcairn Island, Britain’s last overseas territory in the Pacific, now home to fewer than 50 and on the verge of extinction. An island as enigmatic infamous as it is—long romanticized as the utopian home of the descendants of the Mutiny on the Bounty, and derided when 8 Pitcairn men were convicted of child sex offences in 2004 and 2007.
