Isabel Lazaro is co-director of Alalimón Gallery. One of her main projects is the activation of the photographic circuit in Barcelona through the creation and direction of the Art Photo Bcn festival, which celebrates its ninth edition in 2022.
Historian of Contemporary Art and Cultural Manager by training, she has experience in various sectors of the art world both in the gallery circuit, in which she currently participates, and in research, public and private museums and collection management.
Currently, her interest has been focusing on current photography, although she does not neglect other artistic media. The Art Photo Bcn Photography Festival began its steps in 2014 and bases its activity on a specialized photography fair, a portfolio review with important prizes and sessions of great professionals of the photographic medium.
At the fifth edition, the festival opens its activity throughout the city, carrying out a program of exhibitions in different exhibition centers with the Disseny Hub as its principal venue.
She collaborates as an artistic critic of Catalonia in the Cultural publication of the ABC newspaper from September 2018 to the present.
