Trish Lambe is the Artistic Director at Photo Museum Ireland, Ireland’s national centre for contemporary photography. With her colleague co-curator/director Tanya Kiang, she is responsible for exhibition curation, artistic programming and the development of the new National Photography Collection artists archiving initiative.
She is particularly interested in contemporary photography practices that address social and political issues. She was the founder of the museum’s ongoing Photo Album of the Irish social engagement project. She is particularly interested in the social role of photography, gender and identity issues and the politics of place. She is a nominator for national and international artists' awards & commissions including the Deutsche Borse Prize and the Prix Pictet Prize.
