Director of the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation and freelance curator. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure de photographie d’Arles, Florent Basiletti has worked on several artistic events.
He has supported the artistic direction of Photosa, the photographic biennale of Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou, since 2022, and written contributions for the Arles Arts & Culture Louis Vuitton City Guide since 2021, the same year he co-founded La Kabine, a space of artists’ workshops, residences and an educational program in Arles.

At the same time, as a personal project, he is working on pteridomania, or fern fever, an obsession with ferns during the Victorian period.
Florent explores our relationship to the image by probing the possibility of biophotography and the creation of living images at the La Cellule laboratory, ENSP, Arles.
