Patrik Schedler graduated from the University of Zurich with a degree in philosophy, political science and history before completing a master’s in secondary and higher education sciences. From 1993 to 2004, he was manager of the Schedler gallery in Zurich, which represents emerging artists in photography and painting. He also organizes exhibitions and cultural events. He holds the rights to the works of painter Jacques Schedler (1927-1989) and manages his collection. Since 2008, Mr. Schedler has taught at the Winterthur vocational school. Since 2000, he has documented and archived the estate of Karlheinz Weinberger, whom he knew personally. Working closely with Esther Woerdehoff, he has brought Weinberger’s work to wider public attention.
