Lionel Charrier

Artistic director and curator Lionel Charrier is a co-founder of the Tbilisi Photo Festival, closely tied to the Rencontres d’Arles through its presentation of a part of the Night of the Year program in its first years. He is co-founder and former director of the MYOP agency, established in 2005 with the goal of creating an independent organization promoting the art of photography. Working for the press and humanitarian organizations, he served as regular contributor to the newspaper Libération, starting in 2001, before becoming its senior photography editor in 2015.

Evening at Croisière
It has become a ritual at the Rencontres d'Arles, with Libération producing the front page of its special edition devoted to photographers, in public. A live experience with Libé journalists, in a special year, as the newspaper celebrates its 50th anniversary.
