Daniel Lesmes, who holds a Ph.D. in art history, is a former resident at the Spanish Academy in Rome. He completed his education by studying law and philosophy at Madrid’s Complutense University, where he has taught since 2014. He has written several articles and essays on art, aesthetics and politics, including Aburrimiento y capitalismo en la escena revolucionaria (Boredom and Capitalism on the Revolutionary Scene, Éditions Pre-Textos, 2018). He is president and curator of Cruce, a landmark on Madrid’s independent art scene.
