Born in 1977 in Tel Aviv. Lives and works in Los Angeles.
Elad Lassry received a B.F.A. in both film and video and studio art from the California Institute of the Arts in 2003. He received an M.F.A. in studio art from the University of Southern California in 2007. Solo exhibitions include: Art Institute of Chicago; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles; Kunsthalle Zurich; and Galleria Massimo de Carlo, Milan. Selected group exhibitions include The Generational: Younger Than Jesus, New Museum, New York; Looking Back: The White Columns Annual, White Columns, New York; The Reach of Realism, Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami; and The Perpetual Dialogue, Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York. His work is included in such public collections as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Publications on his work have appeared in Artforum, Blind Spot, Art in America and Frieze. He is represented by David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles, and Galleria Massimo de Carlo in Milan, Italy.
