Trisha Donnelly
Born in 1974. Lives and works in San Francisco.
Trisha Donnelly’s practice moves regularly between the action and the object. In 2010, she has exhibitions at Portikus, Frankfurt am Main, opening April 2, and Casey Kaplan, New York, opening May 8. Donnelly’s solo exhibitions at international and domestic institutions include: the Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna in 2009; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia (2008); Renaissance Society, University of Chicago (2008); Modern Art Oxford (2007); Kunsthalle, Zurich (2006). She has also participated in group shows such as: Il Tempo del Postino, curated by Hans-Ulrich Obrist, organized by Art Basel, Foundation Beyeler and Theater Basel (2009); Yokohama 2008: International Triennale of Contemporary Art, Yokohama (2008); Depth of Field: Modern Photography at the Metropolitan, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2007); The Third Mind, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2007); Utopia Station, the 54th Carnegie International, Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh (2004); and the 50th Venice Bienniale (2003). The artist received her B.F.A. from the University of California in Los Angeles and her M.F.A. from the Yale University School of Art. Trisha Donnelly is represented by the Casey Kaplan Gallery in New York.
