Rein Jelle Terpstra uses photography to explore connections between perception and memory. Some of his projects include Afterimages (2002) and Retracing (2013), two books about losing and recalling images. Since 2014, he has conducted research about the RFK funeral train, entitled The People’s View, locating original photographs and films people made of the train in 1968.
