Vincent Perez
Born 1964, Lausanne, Switzerland. Lives and works in Paris, France.
Vincent Perez spent a large part of his childhood in Switzerland. After studying photography at the Centre Doret in Vevey, he studied drama in Geneva and then at the Paris Conservatoire and the École des Amandiers in Nanterre. In 1990, he gained international recognition for his performance in the film Cyrano de Bergerac, which also earned him a nomination for Most Promising Actor at the César Awards, France’s Oscars. He went on to play romantic lovers in such films as Queen Margot and Fanfan la Tulipe, and has since starred in sixty European and American films. He has also directed films. Photography has always been a passion and in 2012 Perez decided to exhibit his work for the first time at the Moscow Ru Arts Gallery.
