Born in New York, where she lives and works.

Janine Gordon lives on the margin, with a large part of her photographic work deriving from borderline experiences in different subcultures. Yet she is no voyeur, being fully integrated into the world of sex, drugs and music she portrays. Her work involves photography, painting, video and music in its exploration of social, political and creative boundaries.
