Zeina ARIDA

Born in 1970 in Beirut (Lebanon).

Lives and works in Beirut.



Zeina Arida was educated between Beirut and Paris. She studied Literature and Theatre at the Sorbonne in Paris and graduated in 1993. Returning to Beirut where she currently resides, she was involved in several cultural projects and institutions.

She is a member and the director of the Arab Image Foundation — a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation and study of photography and other visual material from the Middle East, North Africa and the Arab Diaspora.


Zeina Arida was one of the nominators for the 2013 Discovery Award of the Rencontres d'Arles. She has presented the following artists: Martin Becka, Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh & Rozenn Quéré.
