In memoriam
BRIAN GRIFFIN
[1948 — 2024]
The British photographer Brian Griffin has just passed away at the age of 75.
He had worked for numerous clients: magazines, the music industry, businesses, advertisements.
He was a master of commissioned photography.
The Rencontres d’Arles dedicated two major exhibitions to him.
One in 1987, where François Hébel, then the director of the festival, arranged for a train carriage in the Parc des Ateliers to exhibit his work.
In 2009, again at the Parc des Ateliers in Arles, a large retrospective was dedicated to him.
The festival pays tribute to him.
