10 projects shortlisted

Ten artists’ projects proposed by ten organizations have been shortlisted from nearly 400 applications received from all over the world.
They will be accompanied by Tanvi Mishra, guest curator, and exhibited during the next Rencontres d'Arles.
During the opening week, a jury will bestow the Discovery Award Louis Roederer Foundation which will reward one of the ten projects with an acquisition of 15,000 euros for the artists and her or his organization.
The public will vote for the Public’s Choice Award, entailing an acquisition worth 5,000 euros.

ABOUT TANVI MISHRA
Tanvi Mishra works with images as a photo editor, curator, and writer based in New Delhi, India. Among her interests are South Asian visual histories, research methodologies in image-making as well as the notion of fiction in photography, particularly in the current political landscape.
She has worked as the Photo Editor and Creative Director of The Caravan, a journal of politics and culture. She is part of the photo-editorial team of PIX, a South Asian publication and display practice. She curates independently and has also been part of the curatorial teams of Photo Kathmandu, Delhi Photo Festival and BredaPhoto.
Her writing on photography has been published in various platforms including Aperture, FOAM and The Caravan. She has served on multiple juries, including World Press Photo, Chennai Photo Biennale Photo Awards and the Catchlight Global Fellowship. She is presently a part of the first international advisory committee of World Press Photo.
