1968-2018, TAKING THE FLOOR/ TAKING PICTURES
WORKSHOPS
JULY 5, Théâtre d'Arles
In May 1968, Michel de Certeau wrote, “we took the floor like we took the Bastille in 1789.” Pictures were also taken. Researchers and witnesses tell that story, where ways of making films in common were invented in opposition to professional and social norms. Fifty years later, photographers and filmmakers still produce images of struggles that are different from those seen in the mainstream media.
Two half-day workshops, projections and round tables are based on an idea by Tënk, a video platform of independant documentaries.
PROJECTION
JULY 6, Cinémas Actes Sud
No Intenso Agora, by João Moreira Salles.
