Laetitia Guillemin lives and works in Paris. After studying photography at the EHESS and Paris VIII, she taught the aesthetics and history of photography at Université Paris I (Panthéon/Sorbonne). Ms. Guillemin participates in symposia and conferences on the image and organizes panel discussions about visual representation and reception.
She writes about photography, organizes exhibitions, nominates photographers for awards, teaches at the École des Gobelins and leads workshops on visual narrative and analysis of the image. In 2011/2012, she was editor-in-chief of Photographe magazine.
She is a photo researcher for publishers, the press and institutions (Le Monde Diplomatique, Gallimard, Acte Sud, Beaubourg, etc.). Ms. Guillemin is a co-founder of the Circulations festival and a member of its artistic committee, co-president of the ANI (association nationale des iconographes) and a member of the Les Visas de l’ANI exhibition commission, the ANI/PIXTRAKK Award commission and the Gens d’Images organization.
