Trained as a historian, Head Curator Agnès Barruol currently leads the cultural heritage program for the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council. She has developed restoration policies in the region, protected historical sites and works of art, assisted museum programs, memorials, and other new forms of promoting cultural heritage. With attention to the relationship between history and artistic creation, she has directed many exhibitions of contemporary art at historical sites and assisted several photography commissions in the Bouches-du-Rhône region.
