A veteran photographer, Eve Arnold traveled the world and photographed celebrities from Marilyn Monroe to Malcolm X and Queen Elizabeth II. She joined the Magnum agency in New York in 1951 and moved to London in 1963, where she worked for the Sunday Times. In 1971, she wrote and directed Behind the Veil, a film about veiled women in the Middle-East.
