Joël Bartoloméo's pseudo-home movies have been shown at the 1998 Sydney Biennial, at the Guggenheim Downtown in New York, at the Montreal Biennial and in China. In France his work was presented at the Centre Pompidou in 1993 and at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in 1994. Since 1995 his videos have featured regularly at International Video Week in Geneva.
He showed his Revue de Presse at ART Brussels in 2001 and the Alain Gutharc gallery in 2002, as well as at the CRAC art centre in Alsace and the contemporary art centre in Roubaix.
