Winner Serendipity Arles Grant 2023-2024

We are delighted to announce that Paribartana Mohanty has emerged as the recipient of Phase 2 of the Serendipity Arles Grant 2023-24. He will be presenting a solo exhibition in France this July at the prestigious Rencontres de la photographie d'arles!

The Serendipity Arts Foundation, in collaboration with Les Rencontres d'Arles and The French Institute in India, extends a warm congratulations to all the shortlisted grantees – Bunu Dhungana, Mridul Kanti Goshami, Sandeep TK, Reshma Teelar, and Paribartana Mohanty.

Paribartana Mohanty is a multimedia artist, working with video, storytelling, writing and painting. His recent work explores new environment-disaster-landscapes emerging near the coast of Bay of Bengal in Odisha. Paribartana’s interest and research is in examining how technologies of algorithmic networks, digitalization, data mining, access and surveillance are shaping public perception about ‘natural’ calamity.
