UN PASTEUR

WEDNESDAY JULY 3
NO SEX LAST NIGHT
BY SOPHIE CALLE AND GREG SHEPHARD
In the presence of Sophie Calle.
No Sex Last Night is the autobiographical account of a road trip across America by French and American artists Sophie Calle and Greg Shephard. Equipped with a camera each, to which they confide, the artists recorded every moment of their journey from New York to California in Shephard's dilapidated Cadillac. Alternating video and still image sequences, voice-overs, and dialogue, in French and English, the film skilfully weaves together the desires, fears and resentments of the artists' complex relationship.
1995, 76 min.
Languages: french, english; subtitles: french, english.

THURSDAY JULY 4
AMA-SAN
BY CLÁUDIA VAREJÃO
Every day, in a remote part of Japan, the Ama-San dive into the sea in search of seaweed, crustaceans and shellfish, which they use for food or trade. They are between 50 and 85 years old and are ‘hunters of the seas’. This extraordinary custom and technique dates back over 2,000 years.
This film echoes the Ama exhibition by Uraguchi Kusukazu, who has spent over thirty years documenting the lives of the ama divers of his region.
2016, 112 min.
Languages: portuguese, japanese; subtitles: french.
