An exciting and creative experience alongside Charlotte Abramow to exchange around the practice of each and then create and carry out a small personal project.

Participants in this exciting, hands-on, two-day course will take stock of their work, consider fresh approaches and think about how to arrange what they want to show. They will work with Sylvie Hugues on editing past, present or unfinished projects.

These three half-days with Vee Speers will focus on the portrait. The sessions will cover the basics — lighting, distance and the exchange with the model — but also leave room for emotion, and sometimes for instinct and the viewer’s interaction with the portrait.

This day with Françoise Huguier will resolutely focus on others — either one person or a group of individuals. Some participants will draw from the encounters to tell a story or describe a situation, while others will focus on stealthier exchanges, surveying the attitudes, cultural traits and features of a generation, a social group, a place, etc.

Throughout this workshop, issues related to editing will be placed at the heart of the exchanges.

Two exciting days to fully immerse yourself in the images, your own but also those of others, two days that will also allow you to find the right words to talk about your own work.

It will be largely a question of sensitivity, of the relationship to what surrounds us but also of the relationship we have with photography. A step that will allow us to specify our desires, our stakes, and our personal objectives that will guide us throughout the day.

The quest will gradually become more personal and inward-looking in these repetitive alternations, contrasts and different atmospheres. Participants will be asked to dig deep down within themselves and find a common denominator based on their sensations and feelings in order to connect everyday experiences to one another, working on what characterizes their gaze, accompanying the sensibility that dictates distances, obsessions and detours.

This intensive course will be largely based on shooting sessions under the expertise and guidance of Jérôme Bonnet.
The goal will be to skillfully deal with the person photographed and the surrounding space.
Mr. Bonnet will help participants set up the lighting conditions that will create a mood, shape the spaces and emphasize expressions.

This portrait workshop will focus on the practical, very concrete aspects inherent to any project.

During this five-day course, photography will often take on the characteristics of a passport, a wonderful open-sesame to explore new places but also a delightful pretext to approach and meet others.

Participants in this five-day workshop will explore areas to offer a unique vision. Accompanied by Bertrand Meunier, they will set out from Arles every day, turning all their attention to the amazing variety of nearby spaces, especially the small towns on the Mediterranean coast and ponds southeast of the city.

The challenge of these five days will be to develop a photographic writing that is specific to us and to question through a personal realization the link to the body and to space, in substance and in form.

The intense six-day course is open to all but especially to those who want to deepen their personal approach and develop their photographic language.

This workshop aims to help photographers refine their creative language and deepen their personal investment. They will explore their desires, passion, personal and intimate stories, obsessions and discoveries, revealing what is specific to us and what will make their photography relevant, sincere and singular.

Like all photographs, portraits can take many forms and be made using many techniques. The photographer is either totally free or constrained by the uses and limitations he imposes on himself, wittingly or not. Léa Crespi will guide participants through this range of endless possibilities.

After a group shoot and a location-scouting session, Ambroise Tézenas will guide participants in making personal series, building them day after day by alternating shoots in the field and precise editing sessions. Without this approach being exclusive, the course will largely focus on the idea of "landscape documentary", fostering reflection and nurturing everybody’s inspiration.

This full-range course will help participants enrich their gaze, notably by completing a personal project in Arles or nearby that will be exhibited in a group show on the last day.
Jean-Christophe Béchet will advise and guide participants in exploring what makes their gaze unique by having them compare their work.

Claudine Doury's workshop is about using reality in the service of fiction. It will involve thinking about ways of interacting with reality in order to tell a story.

Participants will be asked to compose a fictional narrative based on their own way of seeing things and their interests and obsessions, using natural surroundings and the spirit of the place.

This exciting course will question our intimate relationship to the territory, to the environment that we discover, new, but also that of daily life, known, that we seem to find here, and everywhere else.
A sensitive exploration, where it will be a question of spaces, of the people who bring them to life, cross them or inhabit them.

This workshop aims to help participants create a coherent body of work with the help of Julien Pebrel's wise advice. They will focus on a specific space to make a portrait. Each will choose, depending on his or her wishes, past experiences and a place to explore: a district, a street, a quay, a monument, a stadium, a building, a park, a wasteland... the playground will have very diverse aspects.

This exciting experience with Denis Dailleux will focus on portraiture.

A portrait is considered an interaction, often brief, between a photographer and a model. To be successful, a trusting bond must be simply and swiftly established.

This exciting course will help participants sharpen their eye and draw the outlines of a personal photographic language. Ljubisa Danilovic will talk about his experiences, the relationship between photographer and photography and each participant’s goals, sensibilities, obsessions, pleasures and doubts.
The aim will be to realize a project, precising intentions, building a guideline. The goal will be to make a step beyond one's photo practice, during the workshop but also in a long term approach.

This workshop revolves around photography as a means for asserting a personal perception of the world. Looking beyond the purely documentary, images making up a diary or inventory allow their inventor to cut free from the constraints underlying the transcription of objective reality.

In this exciting five-day course, Jane Evelyn Atwood leads participants in making a personal series—a stimulating experience in which they spell out their desires, explore a theme without getting lost in it and skillfully select their own photographs to tell a story. The course takes a learning-by-doing approach: participants can identify aspects they need to develop and deepen by enthusiastically, sincerely discussing the photographs taken each day.

Participants in this exceptional course will visit a wide range of places every day to tell a story oscillating between the real and the imaginary.
Their explorations will converge on the Rhône in Arles, the Camargue and nearby villages, where the multifaceted river will be a pretext to experiment with photography.
