THE BOOK AWARDS 2022

AUTHOR BOOK AWARD
HISTORICAL BOOK AWARD
PHOTO TEXT BOOK AWARD

Created at the founding of the festival, the Rencontres d'Arles Book Awards support each year with renewed fervor, the extraordinary creativity of photographic publishing, and strive to be one of the major actors for its wide dissemination. Since 2015, The Fondation Jan Michalski pour l’Ecriture et la Littérature is the main partner of these Awards.

The pre-jury for the 2022 Book Award, composed of professionals in the field of photography publishing, met mid-June at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie to study more than 700 applications from over 34 different countries, offering a rich and varied panorama of contemporary publishing and photographic practice.

The Rencontres d'Arles sincerely thanks all the participants for their applications, which were considered with seriousness and enthusiasm.

For this 2022 edition, 78 works have been shortlisted, all categories included, and will be exhibited throughout the festival, in the space dedicated to the different publishing awards of the Rencontres in the Espace Van Gogh.
