BOLIDAGE TYPOLOGIQUE DES VOITURES DE LA PLAINE SAINT-DENIS
The Plaine Saint-Denis changed, first in the 1980s then during the construction of the Stade de France. It is hard to identify and, despite the strong identity of certain neighborhoods, like the former Spanish quarter or rue Germaine Tillion, in a district that is undergoing reconstruction, which I became interested in for this project. Cars are also rebuilt here. To me, tuning is a kind of allegory of this complex area. I wanted to use the most kitsch tuning codes for this series. I took inspiration from Toilet Paper, which offers a kitsch, offbeat magazine on major social issues. My aim with this project is to compare two socially opposite milieus.
