For this 6th edition, SFR Young Talents presents the work of four prize-winners from the competition organised by SFR Young Talents to coincide with the 2012 edition of the Rencontres d’Arles. The 2012 competition jury and its president François Hébel awarded prizes to Julien Dumas, Bertrand Noël, Julie de Waroquier and John Thackwray. In pursuit of the given theme for the competition, ‘Simple pleasures... in a world of contrasts’, the young prize-winners pointed their all- memorising viewfinders at the deceptive little things as well as the authentic grandeur that lights up their lives. The work they have produced provides evidence of the latest trends and also a new energy. Through the SFR Young Talents program, SFR brings more than thirty photographers into contact with professionals and experts each year, providing advice and the possibility of exhibitions at major events like the Rencontres d’Arles. Along with this exhibition there will be a selection of photos by Patrick Tournebœuf, sponsor of the 2012 cohort of SFR Young Talents.
