Edition 2012

A very special attention

The exhibition by ENSP 2012 graduates to commemorate the school’s 30 years (2012)

On the occasion of the ENSP’s thirtieth anniversary, the school will present a selection of works, curated by Fannie Escoulen, deputy director of the BAL and a graduate of the ENSP from 2000, by all the graduates of the 2012 class. The images of this collective exhibition presented in Arles will carry within them the force of experiences offered by this school, while also establishing new avenues and resources for reflecting on art, photography, the image and its future. The ENSP asserts its singularity of gazes, nourished by the work of its teachers who continue to privilege a progressive awareness of each mode of expression and continue to help each student find their own path within the vast possibilities on offer to them. Here, then, is an overall view of burgeoning creation through auteur writings. As Christian Milovanoff, artist and teacher at the school, says: ‘No one will be surprised by the diversity of propositions, because if the ENSP has set an example, it is by its singularity and not by any conservative moulding of character: so many students equals so much uniqueness. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t a connection between them. They each in their own way tackle the question of genre, of autobiography; they question territory and its limits, landscapes and what lies ahead for them, fiction and documentary.’ 2012 students: Pauline Ballet, Ai Estelle Barreyre, Romain Baujard, Mario B. Schneider, Hélène Canaud, Julia Denat, Andres Donadio, Loraine Drescher, Julie Hascoët, Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques, Delphine Jourdan, Laure Ledoux, Juliette Martin, Rémy Moulin, Marion Normand, Erika Paoletti, Olga Perets, Mélanie Pottier, Mouna Saboni, Marie Sommer, Laetitia Soufflet, Hannelore Stessel, Émilie Traverse.
