VII Academy, Arles, Director, France

1 Morning & 2 Morning
Before joining the VII Foundation, Yonola worked for Agence VU', Paris and the Magnum Gallery, Paris.
In 2009, she co-founded 2SnakesStudio in Bangkok with photojournalist Philip Blenkinsop.
Since 2019, as Operations Manager and Curator for the VII Academy in Arles - the educational branch of the VII Foundation - Yonola develops all the collaborations and projects supported by the VII Academy: curating exhibitions, partnering with local and international institutions, monitoring the projects of VII Photo photographers in direct connection with the VII Academy, France. Yonola also helps to set up and monitor the training courses run by the VII Foundation, which are designed for photojournalists from communities that are under-represented in the media. Her expertise in the field of photojournalism gives her a keen eye for projects by photographers working on social issues, environmental issues and their impact on the communities affected. The VII Foundation's mission is to transform photojournalism by empowering new generations and creating stories that campaign for change. In a world where beliefs and actions are increasingly disconnected from facts and realities, there is an urgent need for documentary journalism to evolve.
