Katherine Oktober Matthews is a publisher, editor, journalist, and critic, and the founder of House of Oktober, an independent arts publisher based in The Netherlands. She has written extensively on fine art photography, most notably in her former role as Chief Editor of GUP Magazine and in her book Unique: Making Photographs in the Age of Ubiquity. She additionally founded the online platform Riding the Dragon: Consolation for Artists and Intellectuals, and is currently working on a limited series art journal called Milk, comprised of works by artist-mothers about motherhood.
