Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, Curator, Hungary

2 Morning & 2 Afternoon
Katalin Kopin has been an art historian, museologist and curator. From 2010 to 2023 she was the art historian of the Ferenczy Museum Centre, and was the artistic director of the PhotoLab exhibition space from 2021-2023.
She is currently a curator at the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Centre and a lecturer in reportage photography at the Budapest Metropolitan University.
She has curated several retrospective and group exhibitions, and authored and edited catalogues and monographs.
For the exhibitions, she produces video portraits of and interviews with contemporary artists. She regularly moderates presentations of art books and film screenings, and gives guided tours.
In recent years, her interest as an art historian and curator has turned to documentary photography, and she is in particular committed to the analysis, study and presentation to the public of long-form photographic essays.
She believes that photography can point to important social issues and can initiate changes in attitudes.
