Lisanne van Happen supports upcoming talent within her work. She is a freelance curator, fundraiser and educator specialized in the field of documentary photography with a particular interest in social issues. She strives to connect people, organizations and create collaborations that are greater than the sum of its parts.
Lisanne has a BA in documentary photography from St. Joost in Breda. She studied social-cultural work and attended courses in sociology at Utrecht University.
Over the past ten years she worked on projects and developed programs and exhibitions for organizations such as: Docking Station, Prospektor, Critical Mass, Paris College of Art and St.Joost.
Currently Lisanne is talent development lead at FOTODOK where she develops programs with which she supports upcoming photographers on a financial, conceptual and productional level. FOTODOK is a space for documentary photography in the Netherlands and will be present this 2023 edition of Les Rencontres d’Arles with an exhibition at Monoprix.
