Sophie Haslinger works as a curator, writer, and editor with focus on contemporary photography and ecological topics.
Since 2022 she is curator at Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, where she develops the institution’s general exhibition program. Prior to that, she was assistant curator at the same institution, as well as for the Foto Wien photography festival.
In addition, she has curated dozens of freelance curatorial projects in galleries, off-spaces and exhibition venues.
Sophie Haslinger holds a Master’s degree in art history and media studies from the University of Vienna. In 2017, she was Curatorial Research Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. She regularly writes texts for exhibition catalogues, artist books and magazines.
