Ediciones Anómalas is a publishing company devoted to photography, especially the kind that leaves room for the reader’s imagination. “In general, we like photography that suggests more than it describes,” they say. It publishes around six books a year, mostly by young Spanish authors, that are intended as “singular objects where form and content overlap”.
That concept has led them to prefer thinking about projects individually, instead of as part of a collection, and to work with different graphic artists. They have published young photographers like Salvi Danés, Israel Ariño, Eduardo Nave and Juanan Requena as well as more established names such as José Manual Navia and Cristóbal Hara.
