Melissa Harris is editor-at-large of Aperture, where she has edited over forty books (often curating accompanying exhibitions), and was editor-in-chief of Aperture magazine, 2002-2012. She served on New York City’s Community Board 5, and is a trustee of the John Cage Trust. A Wild Life, her biography on photographer Michael Nichols, was published by Aperture in 2017.  She continues to curate exhibitions worldwide, including most recently Role Play at Fondazione Prada, Milano in 2022. Her biography of Josef Koudelka, Next, was published by Aperture in November 2023, by Torst—Czech edtion—in March 2024, and Delpire will publish a French edition in November 2024.
