María Wills Londoño

Born 1979 in Bogotá, Colombia.
Lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia.
María Wills Londoño’s curatorial focus delves into the instability of contemporary imagery and a reassessment of official historical narratives in art. Recent notable projects like Mapa Teatro and Sembrar la duda [Sow doubt], presented at the Museo de Arte de la República in Bogotà where she was director, showcase innovative exhibition approaches, incorporating live arts, dance, theatre, contemporary indigenous, and vernacular culture. With The Life of Things, she was curator for the 2019 MOMENTA Biennale de l’image in Canada, where she critiqued categorizations of cultural objects as “exotic” or “non-Western” within the context of a consumer society crisis.
