Matthieu Orléan

Lives and works in Paris.

Matthieu Orléan is art collaborator with the general management of La Cinémathèque Française, head of temporary exhibitions since 2004. He served as curator for such exhibitions as ¡ Almodóvar Exhibition ! (2006), Dennis Hopper et le Nouvel Hollywood (2008), Le Monde Enchanté de Jacques Demy (2013), Gus Van Sant Icônes (2016) and Vampires (2019). He has also served as curator for exhibitions with Les Rencontres d’Arles, La Gaîté Lyrique and Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Tourcoing. Since 1998, he’s been writing about cinema and the visual arts for the press. In 2011, he published La Maison Cinéma with Éditions de l’œil, on filmmaker Paul Vecchiali.
