Art critic and curator Magali Nachtergael lectures on literature and contemporary art at Université Paris 13. Specializing in visual culture, photography, and contemporary art, her work treats literature in the media age and artists’ writings. Having published Les Mythologies Individuelles, Récit de Soi et Photographie (Rodopi, 2012), and Roland Barthes Contemporain (Max Milo, 2015), she is currently completing a book on re-narration, the archive, and the writing of history in contemporary art.
