Emma Lavigne
Born in 1968. Lives and works in Paris.
Emma Lavigne is curator of contemporary art at the Musée National d’Art Moderne/CCI Centre Pompidou. she previously worked at the Cité de la Musique, where she curated numerous exhibitions about the relationship between music and contemporary art, including Electric Body and Espace Odyssée. She has also devised exhibitions about rock music, such as Jimi Hendrix Backstage, Pink Floyd Interstellar and John Lennon Unfinished Music; and exhibitions devoted to artists including Chen Zhen, Saâdane Afif and Christian Marclay. In October 2008 she co-curated the exhibition Warhol Live about music and dance in the artist’s work; and in April 2008, Imagine Peace with Yoko Ono at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal.
