David Campany is a writer, curator, and artist. He is the author of several books including The Open Road: Photography and the American Road Trip and Walker Evans: the Magazine Work (both 2014). This year he publishes A Handful of Dust, which will accompany an exhibition of the same title at Le BAL, Paris. Recent curatorial projects include two shows: Victor Burgin: A Sense of Place at AmbikaP3, London 2013; and Mark Neville: Deeds Not Words for the Photographers’ Gallery, London 2013. For his writing, David has received the ICP Infinity Award, the Kraszna-Krausz Book Award, a Deutscher Fotobuchpreis, and a Royal Photographic Society Award. He teaches at the University of Westminster, London.
